SWITZERLAND WILL INTRODUCE ELECTRONIC DATA VERIFICATION FOR TAXPAYERS
The state authorities announced changes in the system for filing electronic declarations for taxpayers. From now on, the Swiss Parliament lifts the obligation for companies and individuals to sign documents electronically. Instead of an electronic signature, a new electronic data verification system will be used.
These changes will be applied throughout the state, when submitting documents at the confederal and cantonal levels. Authorities have not yet specified the details of the new system.
In addition, other changes will be made to the system. The Swiss government plans to develop a special communication system between the taxpayer and the Federal Tax Administration. This will help companies deal with tax disputes online.
